AKKAD – African Women Development Association was established on 12 January 2025 in Türkiye to support African women and communities through meaningful development initiatives.
Based in Istanbul, AKKAD works across women's skills development, education, humanitarian support, community advocacy and awareness. Through initiatives such as digital marketing training, educational support, Ramadan food basket projects, community bazaars and public engagement, AKKAD seeks to create practical opportunities for women and contribute to stronger, more connected communities.
At AKKAD, we believe empowerment begins with opportunity. Through education, entrepreneurship, leadership and community development, we help African women turn possibilities into lasting impact.
Our work is about more than providing support. It is about creating pathways that allow women to learn, lead, build and shape the future of their communities.
